The Enza Zaden-stand at the fair was again completely in line with the market. The company has a large number of varieties available for the most important Asian cultivation areas.
This is because Enza Zaden has invested considerable amounts in Asia since 1992 in order to contribute to this growing market. Recently it was announced that the Chinese middle-class grew by 120 million people over the last 10 years. The Asian impact in the stand was readily visible. A large part of the varieties, for instance aubergine, beef tomato and peppers, came from various Asian countries. In addition Enza Zaden presented its assortment of Eazyleaf-lettuce on an NFT-table (Nutrient Film Technique) this year. NFT-production is becoming more popular worldwide and is growing fast in Asia. Eazyleaf is very suitable for this manner of production and presentation of this product on the NFT-table connected well with the requirements of the market.
But there was more. The Asia Fruit Congress has also requested Enza Zaden to give a presentation on the introduction of innovations on the Asian market. The presentation was well attended in connection with this subject.
